Kingsley Ifill, artist and photographer from
Kent, England

What was the inspiration for your shoot?

One for sorrow, two for joy.

Who are the people in the pictures?

Two young lovers.

Why do you do what you do?

To look and try and see.

If you didn’t do that, what would you do?

Simply look.

What’s something we should always remember?

To get there whilst you can.

Jodie Hill, editor and consultant, from Newcastle
upon Tyne, England, and Sydney, Australia

What was the inspiration for your shoot?

Memories of growing up in Newcastle and my
grandma and dad.

Do you think people dress differently up there?

In the best way possible. No one can touch
northern style.

What does the north mean to you?

Fresh air, moors, family, nostalgia.

What does style mean to you?

Style is intuition.

What’s something we should always remember?

Werner Herzog once said: “Whenever you take
a shower, always make sure the curtain
is inside the tub.”

What is AllSaints?

Jodie Hill:

An idealised memory of London as an outsider.

Kingsley Ifill:

Holy holy clothing lord.
