In a very special solo performance for the AllSaints Basement Sessions, we shot Avi Buffalo on a local businessman’s rooftop, just moments from the world famous Venice Beach, California.
The early evening LA sunlight added to the beauty of Avi's pop themed sound and we hope that you can all feel the warmth of both the music and the weather, as we did.
Avi Buffalo was once just a kid named Avi, short for Avigdor Zahner-Isenberg. Years of 12-hour days attacking the guitar (plus lessons-to-mentoring with seriously iconoclastic local blues guys) revealed a pretty preternatural talent for making a very special kind of pop song.
Avi’s music, which is currently released on Sub Pop Records, is a mash-up of many genres, with a heavy guitar influence and lyrical ambiguity.
